Solvigil runs solvigil.com, a product and wholesale site for solar 4G cameras. This page describes what the site actually does with data. Questions go to contact@solvigil.com.
What we collect and why
Quote, price-list and OEM forms
When you send a form, we receive your email address, your name and company if you give them, your country, what kind of buyer you are, the model and quantity, your WhatsApp number if you give it, and anything you write in the notes. We use this only to answer your request and, if you order, to prepare the quote and proforma invoice. We do not sell it or pass it to advertisers. The form asks you to confirm you are 18 or older and agree to this use.
Emails and messages
If you email contact@solvigil.com, or we reply to you by WhatsApp because you gave us your number, we keep the conversation to handle your request.
Visit counts
We count page views with two cookie-free tools: a self-hosted Umami server and the visit log of our own gateway server. For each page view they receive the page path (never anything after a # sign), the referring site, campaign tags in the link (such as utm_source), browser and device type, screen width, language and country-level location. Your browser keeps a random visit number in session storage so a visit is counted once; it is not a cookie and is not shared with other sites. The tools respect your browser's Do Not Track setting. Like any web server they see your IP address when you connect; we do not store it in the visit log.
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, so the site shows no cookie banner. The only thing stored in your browser is whether you closed the announcement bar.
Who processes the data
- Cloudflare (United States, global network): hosts the pages, receives email for contact@solvigil.com, stores our inbox and sends our replies.
- Our gateway server (the Netherlands, rented from Hostinger): stores form requests and the visit log.
- Umami: analytics software we run ourselves; it receives the visit counts described above.
- WhatsApp (Meta): only if you give us your number and we message you there.
Some of these providers process data outside your country, including in the United States and the European Union. We rely on their standard contractual terms for such transfers.
How long we keep it
We keep requests and our correspondence while a business relationship is likely, and records needed for invoices as long as tax law requires. We do not yet delete form requests automatically. Ask us and we delete yours, from the form server and the inbox, within 30 days, except what we must keep for an invoice.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Write to contact@solvigil.com; we answer within 30 days. Depending on where you live (for example under Kenya's Data Protection Act, Nigeria's Data Protection Act, Ghana's Data Protection Act, the GDPR or UK GDPR) you may also complain to your data protection authority.
Children
This is a business site for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us a request, tell us and we will delete it.
Security
Pages and forms use HTTPS. Access to the inbox and the form server is limited to the people who answer requests.
Changes
We update this page when our practices change and show the date above.
